Unstable Tower

By Steve Goldthorpe | Oct 2, 2009

The unstable tower story as a euphemism for Climate Change is interesting but inaccurate.  The Unstable Tower scenario would result in a sudden diasterous collapse.  Climate Change is not like that.  The adverse effects of Climate Change will gradually occur, whilst people adapt to the new uncomfortable reality.

The solution to the unstable tower problem is simple – Change the mineral drilling activity.  Instead of drilling holes everywhere, like a Swiss cheese, completely demolish the tower layer by layer starting at the top and working down.  That way the yield of minerals will be greater. In addition the risk of the tower collapsing will be avoided. A win-win outcome – except that we end up with no tower.

Hmmm, I like the taking it apart brick by brick scenario. We should do that, there are plenty of other towers we can move into.
What? There are no other towers? Isn’t someone working on additional tower construction?
