Ever wondered about the logic…

By Ant / 8 November 2007

Well, all kinds of things, but here’s one to start with:Every wondered about the logic that says “I’m a CEO and need to get paid a market (i.e. very FAT, by anyone’s standards but their own) salary because I have such big responsibilities, and the buck stops with me you know” on the one hand, and yet on the other hand says absolutely nothing at all (particularly something like “I have not done my job. I resign. There is a gross underfunding, and a culture that needs challenging, which make retention very hard”) when all the oncology paediatricians leave Wellington Hospital (which, last time I looked, was a capital city)?…Hey, why not add your own if you like in the comments. Who said satire was dead?!

About us

This site is run by the Social Justice Commission of the Anglican Church.

We seek to nurture justice spirituality and imagination, and engage in advocacy in all areas of life, overcoming poverty and transforming violence.

We encourage people to think and live “justly”, and emphasise debate and action on local, national and global issues.

Although we are Anglican, our vision isn’t so much about being Anglican. It’s about living justly. Justice is about how you live your life, and being just where we are. Working together, we can all flourish.
