Forum: Election 2008 – What’s driving Christian voters? (Wgtn)

By / 3 October 2008

Greetings,

On Saturday 4 October, we are holding a pre-election forum at Ramsey House, 8 Kelburn Parade.

We have asked a series of people to talk for a few minutes on what, as Christians, will be driving their votes at the 2008 General Election.

Hopefully, the contributors represent a good spectrum of opinion to get you thinking.  They are:

Jonathan Boston (Professor, Institute of Policy Studies),
Karen Baehler (Senior Lecturer, School of Government),
Peter Thirkell (Professor, Marketing),
Charles Waldegrave (Family Centre),and a swag of VUW students

Shane Fairhall
Sarah Larsen
Harry Newton
Charlotte Shade

There will be morning tea, a chance for discussion, and for questions to the panellists.

So, come along!  Saturday 4 October, 10am til 1pm, with a koha for morning tea.

God bless,

Tim

About us

This site is run by the Social Justice Commission of the Anglican Church.

We seek to nurture justice spirituality and imagination, and engage in advocacy in all areas of life, overcoming poverty and transforming violence.

We encourage people to think and live “justly”, and emphasise debate and action on local, national and global issues.

Although we are Anglican, our vision isn’t so much about being Anglican. It’s about living justly. Justice is about how you live your life, and being just where we are. Working together, we can all flourish.
