Green Party Housing Policy Launch – South Auckland

By Anne / 27 August 2008

The Green Party will unveil its housing policy at a South Auckland event next Monday evening 1 September.

“Housing is a key issue for the Green Party,” Greens Housing Spokesperson Sue Bradford says.

“It’s not just about affordability, it’s also about whether people have a home to live in at all.

“The Greens have a lot of ideas about how to improve the housing situation for New Zealanders at a time when the situation is getting tougher for many.”

Ms Bradford joins three Green Party South Auckland candidates – the Reverend Mua Strickson-Pua, Donna Wynd and Alan Johnson – at Monday’s 7pm policy launch at the Otahuhu Community Centre.

More than 120 community, housing and church groups from all over Auckland have been invited to the meeting.

Media are also invited to attend.

About us

This site is run by the Social Justice Commission of the Anglican Church.

We seek to nurture justice spirituality and imagination, and engage in advocacy in all areas of life, overcoming poverty and transforming violence.

We encourage people to think and live “justly”, and emphasise debate and action on local, national and global issues.

Although we are Anglican, our vision isn’t so much about being Anglican. It’s about living justly. Justice is about how you live your life, and being just where we are. Working together, we can all flourish.
