International Day of Action on Climate Change Festival

By / 2 December 2008

This Saturday 6 December is the International Day of Action on Climate Change.

In Wellington there’s a Climate Action festival to mark the day, with live music, games, food, stalls and more.

An event that sounds great fun is Frocks on Bikes, so Wellington ladies (and guys), get your frocks on and meet at Waitangi Park at 3.30pm to do a mass bike ride round the waterfront and city. The same event is happening in Auckland as well, check out details at www.frocksonbikes.org Should be a good time!

Wellington seems to be the main hub of activities, but if anyone out there knows of other events happening around Aotearoa, please post below in comments = )

About us

This site is run by the Social Justice Commission of the Anglican Church.

We seek to nurture justice spirituality and imagination, and engage in advocacy in all areas of life, overcoming poverty and transforming violence.

We encourage people to think and live “justly”, and emphasise debate and action on local, national and global issues.

Although we are Anglican, our vision isn’t so much about being Anglican. It’s about living justly. Justice is about how you live your life, and being just where we are. Working together, we can all flourish.
