Monetary Reform

By JimHunt / 6 March 2009

The Auckland Diocesasn Social Justice Council publishes a paper each month called Talking Cents.    This month it tells of a World Social Forum meeting held at Belem.    Among the subjects mentioned there was the matter of reform of the monetary system rather than just patching it up by throwing money at it in support of bankers and big firms.    Please could this site expand on possibilities here, especially on how to value in money terms things we take for granted, like clean air and water.

About us

This site is run by the Social Justice Commission of the Anglican Church.

We seek to nurture justice spirituality and imagination, and engage in advocacy in all areas of life, overcoming poverty and transforming violence.

We encourage people to think and live “justly”, and emphasise debate and action on local, national and global issues.

Although we are Anglican, our vision isn’t so much about being Anglican. It’s about living justly. Justice is about how you live your life, and being just where we are. Working together, we can all flourish.
