Celebrating Peace and Justice

Unplug that Ipod and put down that cell phone

This coming February we return to the heart of festival, to community, music and fun. This is a weekend celebrating life with Jesus, with each other and our world. It’s called PassionFest and you’re invited… so bring your koha, your passion for Jesus and be ready to have a good time.

Only an hour from Wellington, in the sun baked valley of the Reikorangi, Camp Ngatiawa (an Urban Vision Community) will host PassionFest. Are you a follower of Jesus with a heart for mission and for justice in our world?  At PassionFest you’ll hear from people living out the radical the way of Jesus. 

Hear from:

  • Jarrod McKenna (Peace Tree Community – Australia);
  • Chris Marshall (Victoria University Wellington);
  • Justin Duckworth (Co Founder of Urban Vision);
  • Luke Pilkinton (Singer/Songwriter);
  • Adi Leason (Ploughshares ANZ);
  • Sharon Davis (Te Ora Hou);
  • Ants Watts (Spreydon Baptist);
  • Stu Corlett (Partners Aid), and,
  • Jeff Simmonds (Obadiah and the Minor Prophets)

This site is run by the Social Justice Commission of the Anglican Church.

We seek to nurture justice spirituality and imagination, and engage in advocacy in all areas of life, overcoming poverty and transforming violence.

We encourage people to think and live “justly”, and emphasise debate and action on local, national and global issues.

Although we are Anglican, our vision isn’t so much about being Anglican. It’s about living justly. Justice is about how you live your life, and being just where we are. Working together, we can all flourish.

Just Booklets produced by the Justice Commission appear as booklets  and study guides around a variety of important and engaging topics – food, gardening, peace, lignite, with many more to come. From now on, they will be coming directly to you.

Just Living Booklets are subscription-only publications, so if you or your church want copies, sign up! There is no charge. Simple as that.
