In support of the Aotearoa Ploughshares demonstration at the Waihopai Spy Base; there will be a study on the political significance of Jesus as witnessed in the book of Luke, led by Jeff Symonds.
This will be followed by a discussion on how to support those oppressed by the “war on terror,” by way of raising the profile of NZ’s involvement in this war through the operation of the spy base.
This will be held on Thursday 4 September at the Stillwaters Community house, 327 Willis Street (Big Yellow House), Wellington. 6pm for a potluck meal, 7pm for study and discussion.

About us

This site is run by the Social Justice Commission of the Anglican Church.

We seek to nurture justice spirituality and imagination, and engage in advocacy in all areas of life, overcoming poverty and transforming violence.

We encourage people to think and live “justly”, and emphasise debate and action on local, national and global issues.

Although we are Anglican, our vision isn’t so much about being Anglican. It’s about living justly. Justice is about how you live your life, and being just where we are. Working together, we can all flourish.
