Te Kaupapa Tikanga Rua

By / 4 July 2011

Te wiki o te reo Maori! Kia ora.

It marks the beginning of a journey for us and the launch of a new hikoi – Just Me. We have always said that living right, or living justly, is something we are all called to do in our faith. It doesn’t take grand ideas or fancy words, it doesn’t take wealth and privilege, what it takes is courage. As we go on this journey we will continue to look at and encourage examples of ordinary people being just where they are. That’s what we have always done with all our resources of course, and Just Me is a hikoi we hope we can all join in on through the website, podcasts, facebook and other things.

So right now let’s get started with the Anglican Church’s own act of courage when it became a three tikanga church. One of the most important church documents about this was a magazine called Te Kaupapa Tikanga Rua. We’ve uploaded it and you can download it here:

About us

This site is run by the Social Justice Commission of the Anglican Church.

We seek to nurture justice spirituality and imagination, and engage in advocacy in all areas of life, overcoming poverty and transforming violence.

We encourage people to think and live “justly”, and emphasise debate and action on local, national and global issues.

Although we are Anglican, our vision isn’t so much about being Anglican. It’s about living justly. Justice is about how you live your life, and being just where we are. Working together, we can all flourish.
