What Can I Do?

By Ant / 29 March 2007

whatcanido.jpgThis valuable environmental resource draws together a practical and useful list of current NZ internet sites. If anything, its a great collation of whats going on in Aotearoa at the moment, allowing businesses and organisations to share their ideas and resources. Written by Lisa Harrow and published by Hodder Moa for $19-99, this book is currently available at Dymocks and Arts Centre Bookshop.

Jim Hunt says, by way of review: “Here is a book which can save you a lot of time and introduce you to some new material on the Web. I got it from the Waitakere Library Service, but you might need to have a copy of your own, as it is full of website addresses to look up, nicely classified, and with notes to guide you, on all sorts of things to learn about and to do as a concerned environmentalist in New Zealand. To go through them all would take a long time! The only criticism I have is that things keep moving on, and I could not find anything on energy from waves, which is apparently something we should be looking at for the Manukau Heads here where the waves never stop but the wind and sun are quite variable.”

About us

This site is run by the Social Justice Commission of the Anglican Church.

We seek to nurture justice spirituality and imagination, and engage in advocacy in all areas of life, overcoming poverty and transforming violence.

We encourage people to think and live “justly”, and emphasise debate and action on local, national and global issues.

Although we are Anglican, our vision isn’t so much about being Anglican. It’s about living justly. Justice is about how you live your life, and being just where we are. Working together, we can all flourish.
