<description>This morning we opened the NZHerald and read the Bishops&#039; statement supporting the repeal of s59. We felt immensely proud to be Anglican. Here were our bishops, contrary to the majority of New Zealand opinion, unequivocably siding with the right of children not to be beaten. Anyone can lead when the majority are behind you. Its when the majority aren&#039;t that Christ-like leadership is seen.
