But the last letter from Ward clearly indicates the legal opinion that that material – by itself – doesn’t indicate misbehaviour on the part of the church. By lawyers’ standards, it seems to be inviting more information and not closing down avenues of redress.

Read the evidence before you – this evidence was made available to Murray Ward.

I would have the church look into this as I wanted them to.

Whatever the reality of the claims may be, the letters from the Auckland Diocese’s legal representative clearly invite some evidence in order to engage with the claims. That’s not been forthcoming. Until that is made available, what would you have the Church do?

I have read this link to Auckland Church land Fraud. twice recently. How on earth can a so called respected Lawyer/Judge get away with this? Surely the Church needs to stand up and take some responsibility. It’s not just the Paedophiles in the Churchs that seem to get away with it! A sad state of affairs.

We are appalled by the huge cover-up that has taken place, covered up its dirty secrets, swept under the carpet while projecting an image of moral respectability.

From the church leadership and the church it self there was never any expression of concern
