bornagain - i must be thick, but you seem to dismiss science that the vast majority of this planets science assert is sound and credible as alarmist, and encourage people to explore nzclimatescience.net instead.
But nzclimatescience.net is run by the NZ Climate science coalition, who are a minority group of climate sceptics whose opinion is time and again disproved by credible science.
so i wonder - are you going to engage in debate around this on some key points, or just make general sweeping assertions all the time every time you see a post about climate change? What's your vested interest in this - your political agenda?

As for Tuvalu - according to Al Gore they moved years ago! How will NZ respond to the inevitable rise in refugee numbers?

We have a moral obligation to help our neighbours. But in this instance, we see another example of current climate change alarmism based on a political agenda, not sound science.

And I have some good news about Tulavu!

The sea is not rising; and the land is not sinking after all. It is just more deception from the IPCC and Greenpeace.

I think most people "assume good faith" with media reports - I do. But when you do some research, you start recognising a pattern of deception and hidden agendas being promulgated by groups that gain funding and power from their scheming.

Why will cutting carbon emissions not help?
And if it really won't change the outcome in this case, does that change whether we should cut our emissions? Does the value of our behaviour have to be tied to the outcome?

That is sad for Tuvalu. But cutting carbon emissions will have no effect. The land is sinking. If it is not cost effective to have dykes like The Netherlands, then the population will have to be relocated.
